In one of my trips, I went to the beautiful island of St. Lucia. As the soil is volcanic, the island is sumptuous. As fast as I debarked from the ship, I was straight away welcomed by the joyous of the music and the voters walking and chatting. There are kiosks offering different trips of different landmarks of St. Lucia. I took the excursion to the famous volcano, La Soufriere. It is, apparently, the sole volcano in the world where you walk in the crater. I was dizzy in the full trip. The driver was driving way to fast for me on the curvy and steep roads of the island. We stopped a couple of times either to like either the banana plantation or get offers from their local population, who are endeavoring to earn a living. At 1 time, a bloke had a snake wrapped around branch tree. We were curious and a bit surprised by the vicinity of him and us from the "danger". After a minute, he asked us for $10 because we looked at his snake. I am convinced his snake was not perilous in any way. He's trying to earn a little revenue. After that, we drove thru the forest. It was wet but still nice. At an observation point, we capture a view of the 2 famous Piton of St. Lucia.
The flick Superman II was filmed there. After much swirling driving around, attempting to control my raging stomach, we ultimately appeared at the volcano. When we were given out of the bus, the air smelled like rotten eggs. You get caught off guard by this intense smell. The rationale is that the volcano is manufacturing sulfur. Water is pouring from the rocks.
After a bit, you get use to the smell. You can take examples of the water and use it to heal assorted skin conditions. Imagine having a glowing skin for your St. Lucia honeymoon! If I had known this ahead, I would have brought an empty bottle in plastic to take some samples of the waters. I did put some on my face as it was hot. Many people were taking the water in different bottle. Later that night, my face was glowing. I am not sure if it's my imagination or if it's the sun that day ; one thing I know definitely is that it certainly made a contribution to my beauty that night. Then we went to be the botanical garden of St. Lucia. There had been a beautiful waterfall. Napoleon's spouse, Josephine, donated this garden to the St. Lucia Island.
It was appreciated as the place was nice and cool particularly after being in the humidity of the volcano. So far, St. Lucia is my fave island on the Caribbean.
Folk of St. Lucia are nice and not fearful or antagonistic to strangers. They talk English and Creole so you can simply be accepted by them.
The final advocated place will be to go at Dasheene restaurant ; you've got an amazing view of the 2 Pitons. A dinner for 2 costs about 90$. Would I suggest going on a honeymoon holiday to St. Lucia? Fully, when you're looking to chill in a charming environment. It is also a pretty lush island made for the out of doors lovers. You can simply get romantic when you have surprising flowers all around.
